American Martyrs Oktoberfest Invitation Letter from AMAA President

AMAA Family and Friends,

The American Martyrs Knights Of Columbus Council are hosting a wonderful evening of  fun entertainment, great food and good company.  Many of our volunteers, coaches, and board members (both past and present) ar
e also members of our Knights of Columbus council.  I myself have been a member for a number of years and am proud of all the work the council does in support of a number of worth causes.  Not least of which is my pride in the Councils unwavering support for our Athletic program.  In years past they've dug deep to help keep our program financially solvent, beyond that they volunteer their time and talent in a number of ways - all this often without much fan fair or recognition.

This year is no different in that they are planning on donating a portion of the proceeds for this Oktoberfest event to support our Sports programs.  It is through efforts like this one that we are able to pay our equipment, insurance, gym permit fee's and all the other bills required to keep the program running.  So your attendance at this event will go directly toward supporting our kids and their sports seasons this year.

So on behalf of Grand Knight  and AMAA Coach, Mike Shoule, Myself and all our members I'm extending a warm invitation to all you and your families, and all your friends to come down and join us for a fun night together.

If you have any questions please let me know - ticket sales will be taking place following the Sunday masses - attached is the full flyer with further detail on how you can reserve/purchase your tickets to this event.

Kind Regards,
Tim Rice
AMAA President.

American Martyrs CYO Mass October 21st 10:30 AM - Letter from AMAA President

AMAA Family and Friends,

I am writing this to cordially invite you all to attend the upcoming Mass hosted by CYO.  The mass is intended to bring together families and athletes from the local parishes and is open to all regardless of your faith.  It is a really great opportunity for our athletes, coaches, volunteers and families to spend meaningful time together outside of all our sports activities.  Each Year CYO hosts this mass at a different parish.

This year CYO accepted the invitation from our Pastor, Father Frank to host this annual mass at American Martyrs.  Father Frank, Kathleen, and I are all very excited to host CYO and our partner Parishes sports programs.

We will have seating reserved for our Athletes and families and we would like them to wear their Jerseys - group pictures are taken at the end of mass and will appear in the Brooklyn/Queens Diocese News Periodical, The Tablet.

This is not a mandatory event but given the opportunity to host this event does not come often we are hoping you all will make it down and spend an hour and celebrate Mass with us..   The Sports Program here at American Martyrs is very much administered and guided by our Catholic Faith.

Our Program goals go beyond that of simply teaching sports - our loftier goals are to build young men and women of character who are in a position to succeed in all their future endeavors.  This mass is an opportunity for us to extend our reach toward those lofty goals and so I hope you all will join us.

CYO MASS:  Saturday October 21st @ 10:30 AM.  Location: American Martyrs.  Flyer with full details:

Kind regards,
