Congratulations to our AMAA FIFA 2018 World Cup Final Challenge winner - Samuel Miranda - with 14 of 16 points!
Samuel was followed closely by Isabella Miranda with 13 points and our highest "for fun only" participant Connor Bacci with 12 points.
I strongly suggest watching the replay of the 2nd Croatia goal. Down 4-1 (that's big if you aren't familiar with FIFA soccer), Mario Mandzukic of Croatia continued to play hard and as a result forced an error by the French defense and goalkeeper. That's what we want to see from our Martyrs Teams!!!
Some discussion points would be - Why didn't the French keeper just pick the ball up? When and how is an appropriate way to be aggressive around a goalkeeper and when and how is it not?
Other notes:
This was the first time a FIFA World Cup Final had an "own goal"
This was the first time a FIFA World Cup Final had a penalty kick determined by a video review
